As general counsel to businesses and organizations, the Crandlemire Group brings unique experience, working closely with the client’s management team to ensure that legal issues and risks are identified early and managed appropriately. 

As general counsel we:

• assist in evaluating and prioritizing legal risks;
• proactively advise  clients on legal issues associated with their business in order to minimize legal risk;
• provide routine legal advice and counsel while understanding the needs of the entire organization;
• engage and manage the right external counsel when more complex or specialized legal matters arise to minimize expense and maximize overall value to the organization;
• manage any pending litigation or threatened litigation; and
• serve as a trusted advisor to the client’s management team with the goal of strengthening the business and improving profits.

We offer general counsel engagements on a fixed retainer basis. When working on a fixed retainer basis, we set a fixed periodic professional fee that encourages clients to communicate freely with us (as a part of the management team) without concern about additional expense, as is the case with a typical attorney engagement. We work with clients to evaluate likely needs and set a retainer level based on that need.  To the extent possible, we seek to minimize the uncertainty that is frequently associated with legal expenses.
