Settlement Counsel

As Settlement Counsel, the Crandlemire Group works on a client’s behalf (often in conjunction with litigation counsel) to explore all possible avenues for a negotiated resolution of a disputed issue or matter in litigation.  Our goal as settlement counsel is the resolution of the issue in consideration of the overall client interests and without the risks of litigation. Our engagement as settlement counsel is frequently appropriate when:

• Legal fees have become (or are likely to become) excessive;
• The disputed matter is adversely affecting the client’s business;
• Both parties to the dispute face the risk of an adverse outcome; or
• Parties and counsel have become entrenched in positions with little progress toward resolution.
